The privacy policy, the license agreement, and the notice of authorized use for PolyLock™.
Last updated: September 12, 2026
This policy is issued by PolyLock Security™, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("we" or "us"), which publishes and supports the PolyLock application.
PolyLock is designed to work ON YOUR DEVICE. Our approach is simple: we do not operate servers for the app, and we do not collect your content.
If you obtain the app through Apple TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may collect certain information (such as crash logs and basic usage statistics) under Apple's own privacy policy. That collection is governed by Apple, not by us. Crash logs may be shared with us to fix problems; they do not contain your file contents or keys.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app.

IMPORTANT — READ CAREFULLY. This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("You") and PolyLock Security™, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (the "Licensor," "We," or "Us"), for the PolyLock application in all of its editions and on every platform on which We make it available — including its iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, Windows, Android, Linux, and BSD software, and any updates, documentation, and associated materials (collectively, the "Software"). The Software and all intellectual property in it are owned by Security DNA Labs™, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("Security DNA Labs"). PolyLock Security™, LLC is the operating company and distributes and licenses the Software under authority from Security DNA Labs.
By installing, accessing, or using the Software — however You obtained it, including through any app store or marketplace, Apple TestFlight or any other pre-release or testing program, a package repository, or direct download — You agree to be bound by this Agreement. If You do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
The Software is licensed for use on devices that You own or control. It is updated from time to time, and features may be added, changed, or removed without notice. You are responsible for keeping a backup of any data You protect with it.
Subject to Your compliance with this Agreement, We grant You a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the Software on each device that You own or control, solely for Your own personal or internal business use.
You may not, and may not permit anyone else to: (a) copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Software; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; (c) modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Software; (d) remove or alter any proprietary notices; (e) use the Software to violate any law or the rights of any third party; or (f) publicly disclose benchmarks or evaluations of the Software without Our prior written consent.
The Software encrypts files on Your device. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for the passwords, biometric enrollment, keys, certificates, and other unlock methods You choose, and for retaining a backup method. IF YOU LOSE ALL UNLOCK METHODS FOR A FILE, THAT FILE CANNOT BE RECOVERED BY US OR BY ANYONE — the data will be permanently inaccessible. We have no ability to recover, reset, or bypass Your encryption.
Access controls such as open-count limits, expiry dates, time-locks, and geofences are BEST-EFFORT DETERRENTS enforced by the app on cooperating devices. THEY ARE NOT GUARANTEES. A person who copies a file before opening it, captures its contents on screen, or uses modified software may be able to circumvent them. Do not rely on them as absolute protection.
The Software is licensed, not sold. Security DNA Labs owns all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual-property rights, and We distribute and license it under authority from Security DNA Labs. This Agreement grants You no rights except the limited license above.
The Software includes third-party open-source components licensed under their own terms. See the "Third-Party" section of this License screen. Those terms govern the respective components and, where required, are incorporated by reference.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR PROTECT YOUR DATA. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50.00). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
The Software contains cryptographic functionality and may be subject to export-control laws. You represent that You are not located in, and will not use or export the Software to, any territory or person prohibited under applicable export laws, and that You will comply with all such laws.
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if You breach it. Upon termination, You must stop using and delete the Software. Sections 4 through 13 survive termination.
This Agreement governs the Software on every platform and through every channel of distribution. For copies obtained through a third-party store, marketplace, or distributor — including, without limitation, the Apple App Store, the Mac App Store, Apple TestFlight, the Microsoft Store, Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, the Samsung Galaxy Store, Linux and BSD package repositories, and any other store or marketplace now existing or later established — this Agreement is between You and Us only, not with the store operator, and the store operator is not responsible for the Software or its content. Your use may also be subject to the store operator's applicable terms. Where an operator's terms so require (including Apple's and Google's), the operator and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce it against You.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. This Agreement is the entire agreement between You and Us regarding the Software and supersedes prior understandings.
The terms in this Section apply IN ADDITION TO, and not in place of, the rest of this Agreement. Each subsection applies only to a copy of the Software You obtained through the channel it names. If a term in this Section conflicts with another term of this Agreement as to that copy, the term in this Section controls for that copy only. Sections 1 through 12 apply to every copy, on every platform, however obtained.
(a) Acknowledgement. This Agreement is between You and Us only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the Software and its content.
(b) Scope of License. As to that copy, the license granted in Section 2 is a non-transferable license to use the Software on any Apple-branded products that You own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the Software may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with You through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
(c) Maintenance and Support. We are solely responsible for any maintenance and support for the Software. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
(d) Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the Software fails to conform to any applicable warranty, You may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the Software; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Software.
(e) Product Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Software or Your possession or use of it, including (i) product liability claims, (ii) any claim that the Software fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
(f) Intellectual Property Rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the Software or Your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual-property rights, We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
(g) Legal Compliance. You represent and warrant that You are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
(h) Developer Contact. Questions, complaints, or claims regarding the Software should be directed to PolyLock Security™, LLC at legal@polylock.tech.
(i) Third-Party Terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Software.
(j) Third-Party Beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and, upon Your acceptance, have the right to enforce this Agreement against You as a third-party beneficiary.
(a) This Agreement is between You and Us only, not with Microsoft Corporation ("Microsoft"). Microsoft is not a party to it, is not responsible for the Software or its content, and provides no warranty for it.
(b) Your acquisition of that copy is also governed by the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale and Terms of Use, including their refund provisions.
(c) We, not Microsoft, are solely responsible for maintenance, support, and any claims relating to the Software.
(a) This Agreement is between You and Us only, not with Google LLC ("Google"). Google is not a party to it and is not responsible for the Software or its content.
(b) Your acquisition of that copy is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service, including their refund provisions.
(c) We, not Google, are solely responsible for maintenance, support, and any claims relating to the Software. Where the Google Play terms so require, Google and its affiliates are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce it against You.
(a) This Agreement is between You and Us only, not with the store operator. The operator is not a party to it and is not responsible for the Software or its content.
(b) Your acquisition of that copy is also governed by that operator's applicable terms, including their refund provisions.
(c) We, not the operator, are solely responsible for maintenance, support, and any claims relating to the Software. Where the operator's terms so require, the operator and its affiliates are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce it against You.
For copies obtained directly from Us, or through a Linux or BSD package repository or other distribution channel not listed above, Sections 1 through 12 apply without addition, and no store operator has any responsibility for the Software.
